Rocky Headland Hideaway

Residential Architecture North Shore, Massachusetts

Because this 3,200 SF house sits on the rocky coast of North Shore Massachusetts, particular care was taken to not “blast” the existing edge of the cliff but rather to incorporate building a section of the house into the rocky shoreline site. The living room embraces the site, providing panoramic ocean views and extensive natural light. To further connect the home’s interiors to the rocky surroundings, excavated rock from the site was incorporated into the fireplace.
