This in-progress renovation reimagines key areas across three floors to improve circulation, transparency, and performance for arts and community programming.
On the first floor, the entry sequence is refreshed with new exterior windows and a glass stair railing to bring more light and visual connection into the heart of the building. The existing secondary stair is removed to unlock much-needed storage and allow for an expanded Art Room.
On the second floor, a series of administrative spaces, including the admissions office, storage, and Head of School office, are reconfigured to create a clearer, more streamlined corridor through Emmons Hall. The project’s centerpiece is a complete replacement of the existing theatre with a new structure, accompanied by renovations to the adjacent music and multipurpose areas. New, integrated storage is introduced beneath the theatre balcony and seating benches to support daily use and performances.
On the third floor, the utility room is relocated to enable improved access to the theatre balcony from the Middle School building. A new six-foot-wide bridge connects the two buildings, strengthening campus connectivity and improving movement between program areas.
