Campus Master Plan
Dedham Country Day School
Dedham Country Day School is a private Boston area day school for children from Pre-K to Grade 8. In 2019, Eck MacNeely Architects was engaged to help with the private school master plan and to develop future design directions for the private campus.
The primary proposed intentions of this master plan were to create a sense of wholeness and connection throughout the campus for students and faculty, to create classrooms and landscape as one learning experience, and to establish a center for the school that celebrates curiosity, innovation, and art.
The initial plan would move entrances of certain buildings to open into more central or common areas, establish new drop-off zones to better frame the campus when entering or exiting, allow for new science-oriented classroom spaces in existing buildings, and relocate parking areas. Alternative siteplan options were also developed that would relocate the pool areas to other parts of campus and also allow for an expansion of the current parking lots.
